RegisterDigs & Dice is a virtual series spotlighting and celebrating the power of games across human history. Join Penn Museum experts and game enthusiasts as we play games relevant to the collection and talk about fun and engaging topics related to archaeology, anthropology, and world cultures past and present.
Honor Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month by learning about hanafuda, a style of Japanese playing cards that date to the 1600s. We’ll learn about the role of games in Japanese culture and play koi-koi, a two-player hanafuda game.
