Description

A.: Herakles and the Nemean lion. Herakles at left, grappling with lion; tree behind. At left, Herakles' club and, above, bow and quiver. Above Herakles, in retrograde, inscribed: "kalos ei." B.: Theseus and the Marathonian Bull. Theseus at left, foot on head of bull, club in right hand. Tree behind. Above tail of bull, a pointed cap. Behind Theseus, his garment, hanging. Along Theseus' right arm and club: "kalos ei" in retrograde. Intact, in perfect condition.
